New Baby Card

Today I am sharing a new baby corner card made using Debbi Moores   Dimensional Baby Corner Card download, purchased directly from her website.

I printed this card onto super smooth cards and it didn't take long to put together.  I used some thin foam pads to add the baby embellishments and added a mix of glossy accent for texture and a clear overlay glitter pen for some shimmer.

I thought the shelves needed a little more, so added a few of my own mini embellishments.

I love the concept of this cards which folds/ concertinas in the centre to go into its own gift box.

I added some acetate to the window door.  The corner card fits perfectly in its box and this template is also included in the download.

It even has a tab on the side to keep the door shut and I used the bunting on the downloaded sheets to decorate the outside of the box.

I also added some of my own embellishments to the lid and window corner.

I really enjoyed making this particular project and think it makes a lovely keepsake for such a special occasion.

This particular download is available to purchase from Debbi Moore's website at: http://www.debbimoore.co.uk/

There are other dimensional baby cards available if pink is not what you are looking for.  There is a lovely selection of projects available to download too along with a free monthly project download from her website while stock of it is available.

Tattered Lace Winter Solstice samples

Following the launch of Tattered Lace "Winter Solstice collection on Create & Craft TV this week, I thought I'd share my DT samples for the show.

I created a large circle aperture card using the frosted acetate, Tattered Lace Bride die and their Winter Solstice stamp set for the roses.
I head embossed the roses and leaves using a Chloe Endean mix of Wow powders.  The leaves have been heat embossed onto acetate for a more delicate touch. I have used the matching Tattered Lace charisma of the bride in her rose gold dress, which can be downloaded for free of the Tattered Lace website.

A bridal shower bag using the Bride die with glitter card along with their Winter Solstice Lace Quatrefoil & Nested dies on pearlescent paper and pale blue vellum.

A large square easel card using the Bride & Groom die with matching charismas.  This time the bride in her traditional white gown.  Also using the Winter Solstice Lace Quatrefoil & Nested dies, which compliment each other so well.

A large tri-fold wedding card using the Bride & Groom dies along with the Winter Solstice Lace Quatrefoil and Nested dies.

A shadow box using The Bride & Groom, Bestman & Bridesmaid and Winter Carriage dies from the collection. I have used the Winter Solstice stamp set to create a background and placed a piece of very pale blue vellum over the top of the stamped background for a light hue of colour. The front of the box also has the printed glittered acetate panel from the collection.

The dies are freestanding inside apart from the Winter Carriage, which forms part of the background.
I have used all the charismas for the dies.

Not forgetting the Bridesmaids. The middle one has been decoupaged so that she stands out in front of the two either side.

I have snipped into the Groom die on this card to remove part of the morning coat, top hat and cane for this same sex wedding card. I am often asked about dies or stamps available for alternative cards and thought these dies worked well on this particular card. I have used a taupe/chocolate pearlescent card with cream pearlescent card and a piece of coordinating satin woven material swatch.  This was teamed up with a tweed ribbon for a more masculine card.

A shaped flower card with many layers using the Winter Solstice Lace Quatrefoil & Nested die set which have been layered up using white pearlescent paper and pale blue vellum.

Finally to finish on, a festive card using the Winter Solstice Carriage with its charisma and the Winter Solstice stamp set.  The branches have been heat embossed using a Chloe Endean mix of glitter embossing powder.  The pine cones have just been stamped and shaped.

Beautiful dies that can be used with your own choice of cardstock with or without the charisma papers available.  These papers fit perfectly to the die with a bleed line for edge to edge colour.  Just remember to print at 100% .

Tattered Lace Stories to Remember DT samples

Following the launch of Tattered Lace "Stories to Remember collection on Create & Craft TV on Thursday, I thought I'd share my DT samples for the show.

I had 2 dies to work with this time around which were:-

3D Decoupage Innocent die
I used the Tattered Lace Precious Nested Book die for the card shape and My Craft Studio backing papers with a personalised verse.

I have used the matching charisma papers which can be downloaded directly from the Tattered Lace website.  They have been decoupaged with many layers and glistened with a Spectrum Noir sparkle clear overlay pen.

This time I have used a set of the wings, My Craft Studio papers again and another personalised verse.

A centre stepper card using the wings for the "winged heart" which form the centrepiece for the card. The heart die is from the Tattered Lace Heart Shaped Handbag die and the wings are made from cream glitter card.

I have used a set of the Fleurs miniature flower dies to tie in with the My Craft Studio paper which have all been printed onto glossy paper.

I decided to make an aperture card and join the wings for my gold (mirri card) butterfly

Also using the decoupage layers for decoration on the front of the card.
I used pain vellum behind the wings which have been coloured behind the die in bright colours with alcohol pens so that the colour reflects the light between the wings.

One of Hunkydory's card inserts from their Twilight collection finished the background inside the card perfectly.

Tattered Lace 3D Decoupage Innocent die

Ascension die

The rainbow mirri card gives a lovely iridescent glow to the die on the card. The backing paper is also from one of My Craft Studio's collections. I've used pale blue mirri card and the same backing paper with the nested circle dies.
Tattered Lace dies are very versatile when it comes to snipping into them and on this occasion, I have snipped into the gate to open them and placed a piece of Hunkydory mirri card behind them which catches the light just perfectly. For an alternative shape card,  I have used the Tattered Lace Hexigon nested Pindot die with its matching charisma paper and Create & Craft colour core card.

I used the Lacy Diamond Trellis die with which card and glitter card for the base of my card, adding some stickles lace glitter glue to the steps for snow for a more festive feel.

Finally, a square aperture card using the Tattered Lace Verona square dies and placing the die on the front of the card.

The die has been decoupaged and I have snipped into the gates of the top layer on the charisma to open them.

Tattered Lace dies are always so detailed, easy to snip into to alter and very versatile for a different genre of card craft. Use them with your choice of cardstock or with the charismas papers available online to download.
