Tattered Lace Oasis Floral Garland Collection DT samples

Sharing my DT samples for the launch of Tattered Lace Oasis Floral Garland collection on Create & Craft TV tomorrow.

I had the following samples to work with:-   Climbing Hydrangea, Bleeding Hearts, Maidenhead Fern, Oasis Floral Flourish, Foundation 3 Nested Oval & Foundation 5 Nested Diamond dies.

Climbing Hydrangea with the Oasis Floral Flourish and Foundation 5 Nested Diamond dies

A triple diamond easel card also using the backing papers to go with the collection.

Using the Foundation 3 Oval Nested dies with the backing papers and Climbing Hydrangea, including the Maidenhead Fern dies.

On this card, I have Printed the Climbing Hydrangea charisma onto vellum and decoupaged them in a flower ring for my card also using the Foundation 3 Nested Oval dies for the panels on my card. I have also used the lacy backing papers from the cd which have been printed onto pearlescent paper.

For my acetate from card, I have used the Bleeding Hearts and Maidenhead Fern dies along with the Foundation 5 Diamond dies for the card shape and layers.

On my gatefold card, I have used the Bleeding Hearts and Maidenhead Fern dies on a layered panel made using the Foundation 5 Diamond nested dies. The backing papers from the cd have again been printed onto pearlescent paper.

On this centre stepper card, I have combined The Bleeding Hearts with a Tattered Lace heart die and the Oasis Floral Flourish with the Oval Foundation 3 Nesting dies for the centre topper

A combination of the flower dies, flourish and Ovals Nested dies on my Thank You card.

Finally, the Foundation 5 Nested Diamond dies have been layered up for a centre panel with the Oasis Floral Flourish decoupaged, for a simple two-tone card.

There are more flower, flourish and shaped dies to add to this lovely collection. These are some of my inspirations from this collection for what you can make with them.

Puppies & Butterflies card

Today I am sharing a DT notecard for the April blog challenge over on Let's Craft and Create with the theme "beautiful butterflies"

I used some backing papers from the Dreamees Pretty Pets cd along with this cute little bone punch purchased from a charity shop from next to nothing.

I also used the Dreamees Pretty Pets stamp set which I coloured in with their dinky inky ink pads.
I tried to make the pups fur look a little textured when colouring them in with my water brush.
The centre puppy had a shimmer of glitter added using a specturm noir clear overlay sparkle pen, which is my go to pen.

I then made the butterflies using the Dreamees Fall & Foilage butterfly stamps (I love this stamp set) which were heat embossed onto turquoise vellum using superfine silver Wow embossing powder.

I used the Tattered Lace rounded corner nested rectangle dies and layered my panels up using foam/shaker tape to add a little dimension between the layers.

I thought the inside could do with a flurry of paw prints also.

Fleurs flowers Birthday card

Sharing a vibrant floral birthday card today made for a special friend.  The theme for the  Blog Challenge over on Daisy Chains this month is "make it feminine"

I have used my large Tattered Lace Rainy Days Story Book dies for this card as I wanted plenty of space for my flowers.

I used the Create & Craft Core Collection cardstock. Ivory for the base card and a mix from the Red Berry collection, with an accent of green from the Forever Green collection.

For the flowers I used the Tattered lace Swift Peony die and some Fleurs flower forming foam. Using an oil pastel, I edged the petals in a darker shade of pink. before moulding and twisting the petals in my fingers.  The heat of your hands blends the colour into the petals for a softer edge.

I then layered up the petals using a hot glue gun but go sparingly on the glue.  For the leaves, I used the Fleurs Dahlia leaf die.

I did the same with the stamens using the flower forming foam

The foam keeps its shape really well but once your petals are all glued together, you can still remould your flowers for a better shape if need be.  If you don't have any flower forming foam, paper will work just as well.

As the card was all about the flowers, I wanted to make sure I could fit them all on comfortably.

To finish the card I used small pieces of white organza ribbon in the eyelets and a stamped sentiment by Tattered Lace.

As this card had a lot of dimension, it needed a box

......finished off with a flower but one to match the card I made the box out of.

Have a look at the rest of the inspiration over on the blog today for this months challenge on Daisy Chains.
