New Home Card

Sharing my latest make today, a New Home card, made using Debbi Moore's Tools of the Trade download from her website.

I added the personalised sentiment to the wallpaper and the names to the paint on the paintbrush.

I have decoupaged the rolls of wallpaper along with the brushes to add dimension to the cards and added glossy accent onto the paint for texture.

Finally, I added a personalised verse inside onto a piece of the coordinating backing paper.

The links to this particular download are below:-

Check out her website every month for free downloads available until stock made available runs out. I love Debbi Moore products and for many years have used her paper packs and Bookazines which are not just inspirational but great value and quality. To complement all that, check out her Print Magic and Metal Magic which will give your cards great texture too.

What I really like about this artwork is that it is very adaptable and thought it made an ideal new home card.

Tattered Lace Hegagonal Heaven DT Samples

Following the launch of the Tattered Lace Hexagonal Heaven die collection on Create & Craft TV today, I thought I'd share my samples with you using the dies that I had to work with.

On most of the cards, I have used the Essential Hexagon Pindot die set and A4 sentiments

En Vogue die

I have used the Create & Craft smooth Colour Core cardstock with the layered Essential Hexagon Pindot die set that has also been used as a card base.  The En Vogue shoe die has been die cut onto glitter card.

This time I have used lilac mirri card for the shoes and some of the hexagon dies as toppers.

A La Mode die

I have used Hunkydory rainbow mirri card on the shoes and Hunkydory adorable scorable cardstock as a base card with the two of the Essential Hexagon Pindot dies for toppers.

I have used the Tattered Lace Large Greeting Card Platform die as a topper onto the turquoise centura pearl card base and glitter card on the decoupaged shoe die.

Shopping die set

To go with the shoes the shopping dies are very versatile and can be used together or along and look especially good with the pop up box template dies.

I have used the Tattered Lace perfect pearls circle die, Tattered Lace Handbag Heart die and embossed the money die onto the cardstock for texture. I've also layered the dress die with coordinating paper.

I have just used the dress and mobile phone die from the shopping die set and used the largest die from the Essential Hexagon Pindot die set as the card base, layering up done of the dies to make a frame for the card. I have also die cut a few layers of tissue paper for the underskirt of the dress which has been cut from patterned paper. The tiny flowers were from the Fleurs miniature flower assortment dies.

Champion die set

For this easel card I have used some appropriate paper from my stash and some of the dies from the Tattered Lace Champion set.

Not forgetting that girls love sport and football too, I went for a lilac and lemon colour pallet (also from my paper stash) The A4 sentiment die set have a great selection of alternative sentiments for cards that step outside the traditional birthday bracket. The largest die from the Essential Hexagon Pindot die set was used as a card base.

Using the same die set and more papers from my stash resembling a football crowd, I have made an easel card. This time adding the sentiments "seize the day & dream big"

Check out Create & Crafts downloads for their Tattered Lace charisma downloads. They are free to download on selected dies. These are designed to fit your dies perfectly, just make sure when printing them off that they are printed at 100% and not shrink to fit.

October Blog Challenge card

For this month's blog challenge over on Let's Craft and Create the theme is paper strips instead of ribbon. Whilst sorting through my paper stash, I noticed I had a lot of random strips of paper from the same colour family but not quite big enough for a project. Ideal for a little card when combined together.

The card actually measures 6 x5 inches. I started by cutting my patterned paper into 1 inch strips.
I chose 4 colourways that I thought went together well and started from the right hand corner, working down the card.
I left an equal gap around each paper strip as well as the outside border of the card

I used the same hammered card to die cut the word "hi" and backed it onto some red card to highlight it on the card.

I thought a nice red poppy would finish it off perfectly as well as highlight the patterned papers. The poppy was made using Fleurs Flower Forming Foam and the Tattered Lace swift poppy die.

I have used black card for the stamens with a black pearl in the centre of the flower. The leaf was from the Fleurs chrysanthemum leaf die set.

This very fine foam is very pliable and durable, enabling you to make the petals of your flower very lifelike especially if you add colour to the edges. Adding a little more texture to your cards.

You could even make a selection of paper strip toppers from your paper stash and put them away to add to cards at a later date.  Less time pondering on a colour scheme when you need to make a card.

Pop over to the Let's Craft and Create blog page and see what the rest of the design team have been making. There is a $10 gift voucher for the winner.

Tattered Lace Strictly Fabulous DT samples

Following the launch of Strictly Fabulous collection from Tattered Lace on Create & Craft TV, I thought I would share my DT samples with you using the dies that I had to work with.
  • Charleston
  • Tango
  • Cocktail Bar
  • Staircase
  • Large Greeting card Platform

The above birthday card has been made using the Tattered Lace Charleston dies and Large Greeting card Platform without the spinner die.  I have used the matching charismas and My Craft Studio backing papers.

The spinner die from the Large Greeting card Platform die set gives movability to your cards using a cleverly designed mechanism created by Tattered Lace.  The slideshow gives you an idea of what it can do.

Here, the Tango dies have been used alongside the Cocktail Bar and Staircase dies which have all been decoupaged and using with their matching charisma papers and My Craft Studio backing papers.

The Tango die has been used here again for this 1st Anniversary card along with a few dies from the Staircase and matching backing papers from My Craft Studio.

For this cocktail menu I have used the Cocktail Bar dies with the matching My Craft Studio papers.
I  have also used the Tattered Lace Precious Nested Book die set for the template of the menu.

Sometimes, just a single die is all you need on a card to get the message across.

Happy Crafting.

Autumn Card

For this months blog challenge on Daisy Chains, I am sharing a DT card made with this months Autumn theme in mind.

I used one of the mdf fairy doors from the Dreamees  kit to draw around for the template of my card onto kraft card and then used their Fantasy Fairydoor stamp set to make my little house for a mouse.
I stamped the door a few times to layer up elements of the door such as the panels, hinges, door knocker and window (which also has glossy accent on it).

For the leaves around the house and the mouse, I used the Dreamees Fall & Foilage stamp set onto some Tim Holtz kraft core nostalgic collection textured cardstock. I love this 10.8cn  x  14cm card pack by co-ordinations as it has 24 colours in matching hues with a few sheets of each and think these particular colours are perfect for Autumn leaves.

Fall and Foliage

The little mouse came from the Autumn Days stamp set, also by the Dreamees.

Although the little mouse looks very white in these pictures, it is actually a pale grey one.
