Spring is in the Air with a bit of Hobby House

For this months challenge on Daisy Chains Blog, the theme is "Spring is in the Air" So I thought I would share with you my DT card for the month.

I have decided to make a daisy card using card and embellishments from The Hobby House Mia Bella collection.  This is such a sweet collection and particularly love the wood embellishment which forms the centrepiece to my card.

I love the backing paper I have used from this collection which actually looks like strips of material and I have added a string of their pearls to the coordinating ribbon from the kit.

For the centre panels, I have also used the Tattered Lace Essential Pindot Hexagon nesting die set to matt and layer the papers.

The flower stamps are Something Stitchy by The Dreamees along with the backing Pretty Pets backing papers.

This is such an adorable and fresh collection.  The cardstock is always good quality, as is the embellishments and Hobby House put a lot of thought into their collections ensuring that everything coordinated perfectly.

Have a look at what the rest of the design team have created this month.

Valentines Card

Today I am sharing my Valentines card that I have made and used as a DT sample for the  "From the Heart"  Blog Challenge over on Daisy Chains this month.

For this 8" x 8" card I have used snow white centura pearl cardstock for the card base and the Hunkydory papercraft kit - Roses for you (love & Kisses).  You can't beat these card kits by Hunkydory as they are such good quality using their adorable scorable cardstock.

The card kit comes with a selection of coordinating printed cardstock, toppers and frames to make a selection of cards.  I have added some matt gold mirri card and red ribbon.

To finish off I have added some gold gems and a key. For the inside of the card, I have used one of the heart toppers and a personalised verse.

These kits are great if you don't have many craft supplies as you will just need some adhesive to make some cards and can add a few gems.  The kits even have card ribbon strips to coordinate with all the card in the kit.

I have also used some of the mini toppers and card from the kit for some ATC cards to swap in a craft group.

Christmas Rose Flower Plaque

Happy New Year

This New Year brings a new set of challenges over on the Daisy Chains blog challenge and to start the year off, for my DT sample I have made a flower plaque using a Christmas Rose stamp and crystal branch stamp by Chloe Endean (Stamps by Chloe). This months challenge starts with "add some sparkle."

Using an oval mdf shape from the Dreamees, I painted it white with a chalk finish matchpot paint from Homebase. These matchpots are so handy for painting small projects.

I stamped the Christmas Rose stamp with versafine embossing ink onto white centura pearl pearlescent paper and then used gold Wow superfine embossing powder to heat emboss the flowers.

For the foliage, I used Chloe Endeans Crystal Branch stamp onto acetate using versafine embossing ink again with her colour mix of Wow embossing powders in Hollywood Hills.

For the added sparkle to the centre of the flowers, I have used some stickles crystal glitter glue.

Finished off with a piece of organza ribbon and a few gems.  I have to say I love this flower stamp, it's my all time favourite and I know I say this every time that I use it!
