Dreamees MDF Hanging Calendar plaque

Sharing an mdf hanging calendar plaque made with Dreamees products for a group swap.

Using some of the mdf from the Dreamees Pretty Pets collection, I painted it with some white chalk paint. For the centre panel of the top part of the plaque I layered a piece of Create & Craft satin board with part of the Dreamees square lacy divine die.  I thought that a photograph could also be easily added to this section if wished.

The bottom mdf  panel was then layered up with a layer of card using paper from the Something Stitchy paper pad and a plain piece of white card, which has both been die cut using a stitched die. The calendar was then added using a thin line of double sided tape, so a new calendar could easily be added the following year.

For theSomething Stitchy stamp set with those adorable button centres onto backing paper from the Dreamees Pretty Pets CD.  I also added some glossy accent to the centre of the flowers.

I added some coordingating organza ribbon, Dreamees pale blue pearls, a tag with a sentiment from one of the Tattered Lace stamp sets and a heart charm.

I usually add a handmade bookmark when sending my group swap project, but this time decided to make a little card.  I do love Dreamees products.  Always inspirational and pretty, with the best flower stamps out.

ATC cards - Kokoshi Doll digi stamps

Sharing some more ATC cards made for a swap using Vera Lane's digi stamps.  The Kokeshi digi stamps were downloaded from the Etsy website.

I used Tim Holts Distress oxides in picked raspberry, seedless preserves, wild honey, twisted citron, candied apple and abandoned coral. I used a script stamp by IndigoBlu using The Dreamees pearlescent reinkers, as well as using them to colour in the digi images. The only exception was their faces, which I used a flesh coloured promarker from my stash.  I added a  little semi-transparent "maths" washi tape for a little more detail.

This set of digi stamps are absolutely adorable and I love the digi stamps created by Vera Lane.
The Vera Lane Studios blog is packed with inspiration also.

Christmas Rose Flower Plaque

Happy New Year

This New Year brings a new set of challenges over on the Daisy Chains blog challenge and to start the year off, for my DT sample I have made a flower plaque using a Christmas Rose stamp and crystal branch stamp by Chloe Endean (Stamps by Chloe). This months challenge starts with "add some sparkle."

Using an oval mdf shape from the Dreamees, I painted it white with a chalk finish matchpot paint from Homebase. These matchpots are so handy for painting small projects.

I stamped the Christmas Rose stamp with versafine embossing ink onto white centura pearl pearlescent paper and then used gold Wow superfine embossing powder to heat emboss the flowers.

For the foliage, I used Chloe Endeans Crystal Branch stamp onto acetate using versafine embossing ink again with her colour mix of Wow embossing powders in Hollywood Hills.

For the added sparkle to the centre of the flowers, I have used some stickles crystal glitter glue.

Finished off with a piece of organza ribbon and a few gems.  I have to say I love this flower stamp, it's my all time favourite and I know I say this every time that I use it!

Follow the link to the challenge over on Daisy Chains blog challenge and see what the rest of the design team have made along with the other entries.  The challenge is just for fun and there is always lots of inspiration to see.

ATC Coins & inchies for January 2019

Happy New Year!

Starting the New Year with some ATC coins and inchies for a group swap.  These are my first attempt at the coins as I am used to making the standard ATC cards.
The measurements for the coins are 2.5 inches in diameter instead of the usual oblong ATCs.

Onto Hunkydory Ink Me 300gsm card I used Tim Holt distress oxide inks in seedless preserves and picked raspberry, which I spritzed with water on my craft mat to make the background.  I then spritzed the card with some metallic pink mica powder.

I used Visible Image stamps Torn Nets and  Own It (Perfectly Flawed set) which were heat embossed with a black versa fine ink pad and very quickly added clear embossing powder over the top before the ink dried, so that it could still be heat embossed.

The Torn Nets stamp has been discontinued and was and still is a fabulous stamp but it was one of the stamps the Visible Image re- released for a period of time.

The ATG theme for my coins this month is "flawed".

For the same group swap I also made some Inchies.  One inch squares of artwork made as a set of 6 to swap.

On the same card I used for the coins I used Tim Holtz distress oxides in salty ocean, abandoned coral and twisted citron.  Using the same method as above I spritzed the card with metallic pink mica powder before die cutting the card with an inch square stitched die.
On The Dreamees cream velour paper I used Tim Holtz Salty Ocean distress oxide ink and then spritzed it with an iridescent mica powder.  I also used the smallest flower stamp in their Something Stitchy stamp set for my flowers which have a button centre.

I decoupaded the flowers to add a little dimension and a drop of  glossy accent in the centre of the flowers.

The ATG theme for my Inchies this month is "Something Blue."
